Hydraulic verification study of the San Vittore – Cesena irrigation system, within the framework of the multiple use of the Emiliano Romagnolo Channel waters.

Hydraulic computational model in permanent-motion and varying-motion conditions of the San Vittore irrigation system, with the following scope:

  • Verification of the pressurization system with reference to the network transitory regimes;
  • Verification of the distribution capacity of the irrigation network under permanent motion regime.

Services provided: Hydraulic computational model of the irrigation network and new pressurization system in constant motion and varying motion conditions.

K-7 diesel oil line to the Q8 depot in Naples

Permanent-motion hydraulic computational modelling of the K-7 diesel oil 10 ppm line, property of Kuwait Petroleum Italia SpA, between Darsena Petroli and the Naples coast depot.

The engineering works included the development of the following activities:

  • Calculation of hydraulic head losses when the flow-rate varies in the K-7 line, in the present configuration, aiming to calibrate the hydraulic model;
  • Calculation of hydraulic head losses when the capacity varies for the K-7 line in the designed configuration;
  • Dimensioning of the new line replacing the underground pipe to be removed along Via delle Industrie, for a length of about 800 metres, with diameter optimization depending on the required performances and the available spaces.

Services provided: Hydraulic computational modelling of the pipe under continuous-motion conditions.

Preparation of the final documents aimed to obtain the hydraulic authorization to cross the drain system of the Cavo Budrione consortium, in the Municipality of Forlì.

The carried-out activities were the following:

  • Definition of an inflow-outflow model to identify the maximum flow-rate to be considered for the hydraulic checks.
  • On-site geometric survey of the free outflow sections currently present in Cavo Budrione, up-stream and down-stream the railway crossing.
  • Definition of the optimal outflow section of the crossing structure, by means of hydraulic computational tests, in a uniform-motion regime.
  • Definition of the geometric and typological features of the new railway crossing structure.

Services provided: River hydraulic computational modelling, in permanent-motion regime, in present and designed conditions, aimed to obtain the hydraulic authorization.
