Romagna waterworks third line
Realizing the Third Line of the adduction network, 4th lot, sub-lots 26 and 27 of the Romagna Waterworks.
The project is due to the need to enhance the reliability of the Romagna Waterworks and envisages the direct connection of the two main sources, and the hydraulic support of the adduction network by closing the loop of the antenna-fed parts.
The laying of new steel and ductile cast iron DN800 and DN900 pipes is envisaged, for a total length of about 54 km, with a maximum supply flow-rate from the network of 4,130 litres per second and a distribution capacity of 87 million cubic metres.
The main aims of the project are the following:
- Interconnecting the main sources, increasing the safety level of the system.
- Enhancing the distribution capacity of the whole adduction network.
- Enhancing the reliability of the waterworks by realizing closed loops on the adduction network.
- Unifying the quality of the distributed resource, by means of the new mixing possibility.
- Enhancing the flexibility of the management of sources.
