In 2001 he graduated in civil engineering, hydraulic section, at the University of Bologna, with a score of 95/100, and enrolled in the Register of Engineers of the Province of Forlì-Cesena in 2002 under No. 1883/A.
He has taken part in the following refresher courses:
- “Seismic engineering – Design based on the semi-probabilistic method of limit states”, organized by the Register of Engineers of the Province of Forlì-Cesena (May-November 2004). Scientific management provided by the University of Bologna.
- “Designing concrete constructions with the limit state method”, organized by the Register of Engineers of the Province of Forlì-Cesena (November 2007). Prof. Francesco Biasioli and Prof. Carlo Doimo collaborated with the course.
- “The new EU 305/2001 Regulation for Construction Products”, Organized by Istituto Giordano S.p.A. (December 2012).
- “Steel constructions fire resistance”, organized by the Register of Engineers of the Province of Verona (November 2013).
- “Two-dimension (2D) hydraulic modelling with HEC-RAS 5.0”, organized by West Consultants – Portland (USA) (November 2015).
- “Structural Works Management and Static Tests”, organized by the Geological, Seismic and Land Service of the Emilia-Romagna Region (January 2018).
Through the years, he has acquired specific professional skills, concerning the design of complex hydraulic works, in particular waterworks, sewers, irrigation and reclamation works, pressure pipes and hydroelectric systems.
He has also acquired skills in hydraulic computational modelling, cooperating with many public institutions.
His almost twenty-year work experience has also enabled him to enhance his skills in the field of infrastructural and public construction operations, extending his knowledge to such operations as work management of the Forlì University Campus and designing and managing energy upgrading works in school buildings.
