Irrigation duct for the plain in the north of the province of Bologna
Extension of the Emiliano Romagnolo Channel primary adduction duct to feed the water system of the plain in the north of the province of Bologna, on the left banks of the river Reno.
The project aims to complete the irrigation adduction infrastructure, already partially built, in order to make it possible to collect water from the river Po, at Bentivoglio, and to transport it to large areas of the plain in the north of the province of Bologna, today scarcely and not stably served.
The project envisages the following works:
- Installation of a DN1200 ductile cast iron underground duct of total length 3,900 metres, for the main adduction line;
- Realizing a pipe bridge crossing the river Reno, of length 350 metres, with steel reticular structure, with reinforced concrete foundations, piers and abutments;
- Installation of DN500 and DN250 ductile cast iron underground pipes, for a total length of 1100 metres, for the secondary lines feeding the irrigation channels;
- Realizing structures servicing the adduction lines.
